Open Pottery. Instructor: Bruce Bartos, $15 each/ $10 student. Join area potters and students of all skill levels in this informal, on-going weekly class. The instructor will be on hand to give one-on-one guidance and tips about techniques, glazes, and firings. Call by noon on Tuesday to register for that day’s session 218-326-2697. Open figure drawing. This group meets weekly to draw from a live model. No instruction is provided and participants must provide their own materials. Poses usually range from 15 minute to 30 minutes. Serious artists of all levels are welcome to join this group. Please note that models are sometimes nude.  10 sessions. $40 a month.  MacRostie Art Center 405 NW 1st Ave.

First Friday Art Walk. Grand Rapids has a thriving arts community. We celebrate this the first Friday of every month with a downtown art walk.. Wine, Paint, Canvas. Join an experienced art educator as she guides you from start to finish through the creation of a new painting at each event.
