Free to MAC members or $5/session for non-members, this informal group is open to artists of all skill levels working in any 2-dimensional medium. Bring your latest project and create your art in a supportive community! No instruction is provided, but plenty of advice, critique, and feedback is available from the group.

 

Open Pottery – 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Join area potters and students of all skill levels in this informal, on-going weekly class. The instructor will be on hand to give one-on-one guidance and tips about techniques, glazes, and firings. Call by noon on Tuesday to register for that day’s session 218-326-2697.

The coolest ever rock-n-roll romp in a bug’s world, capturing all the droll humor and whimsy of the wildly popular books! Insects rule in the diaries of unlikely best friends: Worm, Spider and Fly. Worm eats his homework, Fly believes she has superpowers, and Spider can’t wait to grow up and molt. Promoting eco-consciousness, earth science and tolerance of others. Most enjoyed by ages 5 through adult.

Explore the screen printing process by creating your own T-shirts and posters! We will cover the entire process from designing works to exposing your screens to printing your final products. Inks, paper and the screens will be provided, but it is recommended to purchase your own T-shirts for the class. This class is suitable for beginner to intermediate levels of printmakers.

A jukebox musical written by British playwright Catherine Johnson, based on the songs of ABBA composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, former members of the band. The title of the musical is taken from the group’s 1975 chart-topper “Mamma Mia”.

The Grand Rapids Players are especially excited to be collaborating with the Itasca Community Chorus, directed by Sam Evans, who will provide the vocal accompaniment and will be included on stage in at least two of the dance numbers.
