First Friday Art Walk – January 4, 2019

Live jazz with Sam Miltich and Friends featuring special guest artist Laura Caviani on piano. Open to the public and no cover!

2. VILLAGE BOOKSTORE 

Local author Randy Junker will be in the store from 4 – 6 pm for a book signing of his work, “The Pastor’s Poems”. This book is dedicated the memory of his son who tragically passed away.

3. CRAFTED BY ITASCA LIFE OPTIONS  

CRAFTED is a program of Itasca Life Options that works to empower and provide opportunities to artists of all abilities. Each piece of artwork was made by a person with a developmental or physical disability.  Stop in and see their latest creations!

4. MACROSTIE ART CENTER  

Presenting two new exhibits for January: abstract paintings by Ralph Hanggi Jr. in the MacRostie Gallery and an installation by Saulaman Schlegel in the Minnesota Gallery. With food, wine and other refreshments, plus music by jazz duo Sam Miltich and Laura Caviani from 4 – 5:30 and artist talks at 6.

5. HISTORIC CENTRAL SCHOOL ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE 

Visit with the Artists in the Attic and see what they’ve been working on. Resident artists Mary Myers Corwin, David Dobbs, and Leah Yellowbird have been joined by Aaron Olson-Reiners and Whitney Leming-Salisbury.
