Help us welcome children’s book author Aimee Bissonette, author of “North Woods Girl” and “Miss Colfax’s Light.”  If her sincere story telling doesn’t bring a smile, the illustrations will.

Sam Miltich and Friends present live jazz from 7 – 10 pm with special guests Doug Haining on saxophone and Jay Epstein on drums. All are welcome!

  1. WINGS ‘N WILLOWS ART GALLERY & CUSTOM FRAMING

Welcoming ceramics artist and designer José Sánchez for a pottery demo. Working from his studio in northern Minnesota, he creates custom urns and unique sculptural wall shields from kiln-fired clays and fused metals.

  1. LAKE LOVER VINTAGE

Featuring in-house artist, photographer, and author Carol Bowman who will have an expanded collection of her work including prints, sun catchers, coasters and puzzles. Carol is gifted in capturing the beauty of the Northland from her kayak and deer stand, and is always fun to visit with. Plus enjoy locally made treats provided by Boondocks Enterprises!

  1. Olivia Skaja at MacRostie Art Center

    PROJECT CARE FREE CLINIC

Hosting a triple header of creativity.  Lisa Roberts will present the science, wonder, and beauty of paint interaction on canvas with her acrylic pour paintings. Nurse Practitioner and Certified Aroma Therapist Dianna Kachinske will provide an introduction to the healing properties of essential oils and fragrant sprays.  Tracie MacDowell will be hammering out her display of hand-stamped jewelry creations.  Stop in and visit the three rooms of creativity and enjoy refreshments.

Featuring artwork by the kids from Camp Wannago and Weefolks at the Itasca Family YMCA.  Weefolks is a 4 Star childcare program for infants through preschool and Camp Wannago is a school age program incorporating camp atmosphere right in town.  Check out what the kids have been creating!

CRAFTED is a program of Itasca Life Options that works to empower and provide opportunities to artists of all abilities. Each piece of artwork was made by a person with a developmental or physical disability.  Stop in and see their latest creations!

Book Signing for Eunice Wiebolt from 4pm-6pm, featuring her two cook books, “Cooking with Confidence” and “Cooking with More Confidence”, which has just recently won The Benjamin Franklin Award for Best Cookbook.

Presenting two new exhibits for July: paintings by Joshua Wilichowski in the MacRostie Gallery and mixed media memorabilia by Marlene Wisuri in the Minnesota Gallery. Live music by violinist Olivia Skaja from 4 – 6 pm, food by Applebee’s, and artist talks at 6pm.
