1. STAINED GLASS WITH CLASS
Featuring artist Beth Iliff with her collection of nature and wildlife photography. With additional displays of creations by students working in the Stained Glass with Class studio.
2. GIINAWIND CREATIVE SPACE
MAC’s new creative community gathering space is hosting the exhibit “Carving Out My Path” by St. Joseph-based printmaker Mary C. Bruno.
3. MACROSTIE ART CENTER
Presenting the opening of “The Audacity to be Asian in Rural America” in the MacRostie Gallery – an exhibit of scroll paintings by artist Nancy X. Valentine. Reception with food, wine and other beverages from 4 – 7 pm and an artist talk at 6 pm.
4. BENDER’S SHOES AND GIFTS
Hosting artist Bobi Schaar with her collection of paintings along with handmade resin and clay jewelry.
5. OLD CENTRAL SCHOOL
- Story Art & Museum: Story Art & Museum will host several scavenger hunts. Choose a search from a variety of themes: “Central School”, “Fairy Tales”, “Occupations”, “Aprons”, “Is it Grimm?”, or “What’s Green?”. Hunts are designed for various age groups. All who complete a scavenger hunt may enter a drawing for a gift certificate to Dragonfly Cafe by ILO.
- Artists in the Attic: Head up to the 3rd floor to view work by the artists in residence: Deb Buxengard, Lily Dittmer, and Mary Corwin.
6. RAPIDS BREWING
Stop in for First Friday live music from 7 – 10 pm with Lonesome Dan Kase, a blues, folk, songwriter artist from Minneapolis.
