1. NELIA FRENCH & DOUG LIEN ART STUDIO
Join Nelia French and Doug Lien at their new art studio located in the Lower Level of the Eye Clinic (across from City Hall) at 15 NE 5th St. See their current work, student work from summer art camp and much more.
2. DAVIS CHIROPRACTIC
Presenting an evening of live music from 5:30 – 7 pm, featuring Dr. Todd Newman on vocals and mandolin. Enjoy complimentary light refreshments while visiting with the Davis Chiropractic team about chiropractic and wellness questions in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
3. MACROSTIE ART CENTER
Celebrating the opening of the 34th Annual Juried Show in the MacRostie Gallery. Food, wine, and refreshments from 4 – 7 pm. Voting is open for the People’s Choice Award until 6 pm.
4. GIINAWIND CREATIVE SPACE
Take a trip down memory lane with an exhibit of works from the MacRostie Art Center’s permanent collection, featuring founders and early members of the Itasca Art Association.
5. OLD CENTRAL SCHOOL
- Borealis Creamery & Heroes Rise Coffee Stop by the food truck for hand-scooped ice cream, coffee and other beverages.
- Free Range Food Co-op Meet local author Anne-Marie Erickson who will be signing copies of her book “In the Evening, We’ll Dance: A Memoir in Essays on Love and Dementia,” from 4 – 5:30 pm. And from 4 – 7 pm check out the wearable art of Jillian Petz who turns fingertips into tiny canvases by hand-painting reusable press-on nails.
- Artists in Residence Visit the 3rd floor Artist Loft to meet the newest artists in residence: Rose Hoolihan (painting), Nevada Smith (pressed flowers), and Krista Matison, Vicki Menozzi, and Jenny Winkelman (painting and drawing).
6. GRAND RAPIDS AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Hosting featured artists Deb Page and Chris Rostvold with beverages and food from Four Seasons Catering. North in Bloom will once again be creating and selling beautiful mini bouquets. Information on the new Youth in Philanthropy program will be available.
7. BREWED AWAKENINGS
Showing an exhibit of abstract photography by Catherine Siem of Grand Rapids.
8. GRAND RAPIDS DOWNTOWN ALLIANCE
Welcoming the public to visit the offices of the new Grand Rapids Downtown Alliance for an Open House with featured rosemaling artist Michelle Carlson, information about the mission and activities of this new organization, plus refreshments and a coloring activity for kids.
9. WINGS ‘N WILLOWS ART GALLERY & CUSTOM FRAMING
Hosting Two Feathers Ranch featuring their handcrafted products using fresh goat milk and carefully selected natural ingredients grown or foraged on their ranch. They will have a great selection of lotions, soaps, balms, and much more.
10. RAPIDS BREWING
Live jazz with Sam and Matthew Miltich from 6 – 9 pm with special guests Tony Balluff and Mark Kreizter.
